Members 2nd Outing 2010 - "Taiping - Always & Forever More"

Date : 10 - 12 September 2010 Venue : Taiping, Perak Due to feedback from members and the high costs involved for the Kenyir Lake trip, the Society has decided to instead organize a trip to the historical and nostalgic Taiping, remembered for its vast tin mining industries. Taiping will bring back memories of the olden era, as much of its history still remains in the essense of the town itself, from the olden architectural delights to the cultures and richly decorated characters of its people, right up to the romantism of the beautiful Taiping Lake.....from the ancient art of charcoal making to the secluded scenic fishing village in its vicinity........in short, a photographer's heaven. PSM Members 3rd Contest

Theme : Childhood
Date of Judging : 19 September 2010, 2.00 PM
Venue : PSM HQ

The Society's 3rd contest themed "Childhood" is the third and final members contest for this year. Members are encouraged to submit their works in a set of 4. All entrants will be judged as a set, and the highest cumulative points of all 4 photos will be the winner and so forth.

Photos are to be submitted in 8 x 12, 8 x 10 or A4, in colour or BW, and the basic photo editing such as levels, contrats, saturation and sharpening are allowed.

The Canon-PSM "Harmony" Photo Competition

Theme : "Harmony"
Duration : 15 August 2010 - 15 November 2010

In line with the Government's effort to promote racial harmony, Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd, a continued supporter of The Society's programmes and activities, has agreed to sponsor this contest themed "Harmony". This contest shall run for a period of 3 months as stated above, and all images submitted must be taken in Malaysia during this period. There is a grand prize of a brand new Canon EOS 550D, and many more prizes. Associateship Of The Photographic Society Of Malaysia - APSM
