PSM Honors - Hon. FPSM.jpg)
PSM honors are awarded in recognition of contributions to the advancement
of the arts and sciences of photography within or outside PSM. Such
contributions may be of a service nature and/or photographic proficiency
and achievement. Since personal achievement alone does not necessarily
contribute to the advancement of photography, it does not qualify the
candidate unless it is combined with substantial elements of service.
On the other hand, service may contribute substantially to the advancement
of photography although the candidate's photographic proficiency may
be limited. PSM honors are not recognition of proficiency alone.
PSM Honors (Hon. FPSM) is not open for application, which is occasionally
conferred by the Society to members or any other person who has made
distinguished contribution to photography or to the work of the Society.
The conferring of Hon. Award will be reviewed by the Award management
council and majority of PSM committee. The nomination of the Hon. Awards
must be proposed by a minimum of 2 PSM members.
The
Fellowship - FPSM
The Fellowship is awarded for outstanding contributions to the advancement
of photography involving a high degree of proficiency and achievement,
combined with such elements of service, such as the dissemination of
acquired knowledge through lecturing, judging, instructing, publication
of articles, papers, etc. Personal achievement alone does not qualify
a candidate for this honor.
The Fellowship (FPSM) is open only to members who are already Associates
and denotes distinguished ability in a particular field.

or colour prints, Jpeg files in CDROM). This collection must be coherent
from its conception to its realisation and presentation. An introductory
text that describes the subject and the creative conception of the photographer.
The text must be written in English or Mandarin.
The Associate - APSM
The Associateship is awarded for material contributions to the advancement
of photography, whether resulting primarily from proficiency and achievement
or service alone. As in the case of the Fellowship, photographic achievement
must be combined with elements of service. The Associate is open to
non-members and members who possess a high degree of proficiency in
photography.

or colour prints, Jpeg files in CDROM). This collection must be coherent

The Associate - APSM
The Fellowship - FPSM
The PSM Honor - Hon. FPSM
Awarding a PSM distinction is considered in all countries a favour
and not a right. All PSM distinctions are awarded for life. Holders
of a distinction are allowed to append to their name the initials corresponding
to the distinction they hold. In cases where the holder of a PSM distinction
commits a serious offence against PSM or against a national federation
affiliated with PSM, that distinction can be cancelled by the PSM Award
Committee. No appeal is then possible.
